It's fun to say "taco", even though I don't know what a taco is.

Fancy Dinner
Mommy and Daddy took me to a nice restaurant called Perennial Vivant on Thursday. It's by Lincoln Park Zoo. They were not sure that I would behave, but I was in a good mood and had plenty of things to keep me occupied. I like hanging out with Daddy.
Here we are blowing out our cheeks. Mommy thinks we look alike.
After dinner, Daddy offered me some "apple cider sorbet". I had never heard of such of thing and was suspicious. Mommy and Daddy never feed me anything tasty, only nutritious things that are as tasty as chopped spinach and steamed peas. (That's in fact what I get most days.) So excuse me if I was a bit skeptical of the food proffered to me on the spoon.
After I had a taste: "more, now! Quickly!" ...And quickly the whole scoop of apple cider sorbet disappeared into my tummy.

Brookfield Zoo Outing
On Wednesday I went to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa Meyers and Mommy and Daddy. There were many animals out at the zoo. I like looking at the ducks and geese. I also liked watching the raccoons eat their lunch of spinach leaves.
The leopard was up and about. This was the closest I've ever gotten to see a large cat. What a cute kitty!
In the evening, the park was lit up by many colorful lights. There was also a laser light show. I didn't want to stand or sit still and watch the show. Instead, I liked running around and saying "hi!" to everyone, big or small, I came across.

Navy Pier Extravaganza
Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me to Navy Pier and I hung out with my friend Ethan. I like driving the big red fire engine at the Children's Museum...
...and rescuing people because I am a brave firefighter!
Later on, I played in the baby and toddler room. I took out the babies who were taking a bath with rubber duckies and put them on the floor where they belong.
I got to build snowmen in the 'Snow Much Fun' exhibit...but mostly, I like insisting that other little girls and boys put on pieces of clothing.
Mommy and Daddy wonder why I like sitting in places that are too small for my tushie + size 4 diapers, like the ball bin below or the lego chair that Mommy builds for my 8 inch tall Elmo stuffed friend.
In the afternoon after lunch, we went to the Winter Wonderland at the other end of Navy Pier. I had never seen a ferris wheel before, so I pointed at it and looked for a long time.
There were many other cool indoor rides that were fascinating. One of my favorites spun people around in a circle really quickly. (See the blur in the picture?) They were screaming and were squished to one side of the cars, but they all seemed to be having fun. I wanted to jump the fence and ride, too. Daddy said that I was too small...but I'll be back soon. I saw a sign saying that if you're 36 inches tall, you can ride.

Christmas
I went over to Grandma and Grandpa Meyers' house today for Christmas. Grandpa had his train set out for me to watch, and Grandma's stuffed animal friends were around to play with me.
If I look a little dazed, it is because of all the toys I received. And the fact that I was too excited to nap, so I was very tired.

Hanging with the Kitty
Last week Mommy and Daddy went to their friends' holiday party. They have a cat I liked to chase. He let me pet him finally.

Bread Technique
I like to poke my finger through a piece of bread and then eat it.
My unique way of eating greatly amuses me....
Storytime
Mommy took me to storytime at the Chicago Public Library today. I was the teacher's helper!
I also interacted with other parents and kids.

Going for a Stroll
It's winter, so Mommy and Daddy bundle me up every time I get to go out, which is not often! I feel like I'm in a sumo suit. Worse, Mommy puts a blankie on top of my coat.
It takes about 10 minutes to get ready to go outside.

17 Months Old...
...and I just learned how to fling poop! Mommy picked me up from the crib this morning and gave me my morning bottle. She saw I had black stuff under my fingernails and wondered why I was given dark chocolate last night. She was out of town for work yesterday, so didn't know what I had for dinner. When she took a whiff of my fingers, she quickly realized they were not covered in chocolate. (Hah, I surprised her, I did, I did! :) ) Daddy went into my room to investigate and saw chunks of poop on the carpet. It was a fun morning all around.

Breakfast of Champions
I get the same breakfast everyday, it seems: 1 egg, peas, oatmeal with raisins, and some fruit. Today it was raspberries. I like berries of all sorts - blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries!
Gavin's Birthday Party
I had fun at Gavin's birthday party. He just turned one!
Gavin's mom Kai planned all sorts of fun activities for the kids. We got to decorate our faces with paint and stickers. Daddy put an eyeball on me and made me Cyclops. It was doubly insulting because he didn't even care enough to put the eyeball in the middle of my forehead!
Straitjacket
Mommy and Daddy pushed me in a stroller to Gavin's house for his birthday party on Saturday. They really bundled me up. Don't worry, Grandma: after this picture was taken they put mittens on my hands. In fact, on the way to Gavin's house, I threw off one of my mittens and Daddy had to walk back three blocks and retrace our steps to find my mitten.

My Own Table
Daddy picked out a well-made table for me so that I have a comfortable place to draw pictures with crayons. I like sitting on the seat with my best buddy, Pookey Bunny.
