Turtle Pool

Baby Alex and I got a chance to play in the turtle wading pool today. I had a lot of fun jumping in and out and even diving into the pool headfirst!

My Green, Green Garden

Daddy and I went out to the garden to pick a cucumber and some tomatoes.

Chalkboard

Mommy and Daddy put up a chalkboard in the kitchen for me to scribble on. Do you like my masterpiece?

Montessori

Mommy and Daddy went to attend the "Montessori 101" class this evening to learn about the teaching philosophy for the school I will be attending starting next week. Mommy captured this picture of the objectives for the Montessori method. I suspect she wants to use this at the end of the school year as a checklist to gauge whether I have been achieved these outcomes.

Last Day of Summer Camp

Today is the last day of my 3-week summer camp program. The school sent a picture of me swimming in the pool. The teacher wrote, "Jordan really enjoys her time at the pool. She likes to practice her back-float. Have a great year!" 

My swim certificate says that I can front and back float with assistance, but there are many other categories for more advanced swimming capabilities, including front and back float without assistance, beginner freestyle and backstroke, etc. I guess I will just have to keep on working on swimming!

A Special Lifelong Bond

Aquarium Outing

Daddy, Mommy, Alex and I hung out at the aquarium with Daddy and Mommy's friends Grace and Michael on Sunday.  It was fun!

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Daddy and I made this card for Mommy. She said it was very nice.

Daddy, Alex and I took Mommy out to the Red Lobster for dinner tonight. I liked watching the fresh lobster in the tank.

Gymboree

Seton Picnic

This evening we went to my school to picnic and hang out with the families of other kids in my class and with the teachers. 

Mommy and Daddy met my teachers Ms. Melissa and Ms. Claire, but I mostly ran around, playing with the other kids and exploring.

Cosley Zoo

We went to Cosley Zoo this morning after swim class. I really liked playing with the turtle shells.

I also watched the ducks.

Concert in the Park

We went to the Hinsdale Uniquely Thursdays concert. Mommy and Daddy packed a picnic and we sat on the picnic blanket on the lawn and enjoyed hot dogs, chips, veggie slices, and fruit. The other little boys and girls fascinated me and I liked running loose with them.

The firefighters were letting kids check out the fire engine. I really liked climbing into the truck!
